For anyone, a wedding day is special. Some couples choose to go large and lavish, and some go small and simple. For Kait and Sy, the most important part of their wedding day was to have family and friends close by and for it to be a celebration of their love.
The day began in a single hotel room in Davenport, Iowa. Kait and Sy got ready while hanging out with friends and watching the World Cup. A few hours later they were ready to get married and took a short walk to the Figge Art Museum that hosted their ceremony and reception.
The wedding party was made up entirely of parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. The tables were decorated with succulents to celebrate their love of plants. There was a Soul Train line. And many, many beautiful words were spoken.
In the end, the wedding of Sy and Kait was everything they had hoped for: overflowing with love, special people sharing special moments, lots of dancing, simple, and absolutely perfect!
